Sonkify Process

From first message to live site.

Six steps. Each one short, written down, and agreed before the next begins. Sonkify keeps the process clear so the project stays predictable — no surprises, no scope drift, no renegotiating mid-build.

01 · The six steps

How a Sonkify project moves.

The same shape applies whether the project is a single landing page or a full site migration. Stages compress or expand to fit, but the order doesn't change.

  1. 01

    Qualification

A short form to check the shape of the project and whether Sonkify is the right fit.

  2. 02

    Discovery

A deeper conversation about goals, audience, platform preference, and what the site actually needs to do.

  3. 03

    Recommendation

Sonkify recommends the platform, hosting setup, and post-launch model that fit best.

  4. 04

    Scope

The work is written up clearly so both sides know what is being built and what isn't.

  5. 05

    Build and launch

Sonkify designs, builds, and launches the site.

  6. 06

    Handover, maintenance, or full management

The client chooses how involved Sonkify stays after go-live.

Step 01 of 06

Qualification

A short form to check the shape of the project and whether Sonkify is the right fit.

About 5 minutes for you · same-day reply from Sonkify

What you do

  • Fill in /start with the basics — project type, platform preference, timeline, post-launch support level
  • Add anything specific Sonkify should know upfront

What Sonkify does

  • Reads every reply
  • Decides whether to move to discovery or recommend a different route
  • Replies with the next step or an honest no
Step 02 of 06

Discovery

A deeper conversation about goals, audience, platform preference, and what the site actually needs to do.

30–60 minutes · usually one call

What you do

  • Share what the business does and who it sells to
  • Bring any existing brand assets, references, or competitor sites
  • Be clear about constraints — budget, timeline, internal capacity

What Sonkify does

  • Asks the questions needed to scope properly
  • Identifies the right platform for the work, not the most expensive
  • Flags anything that could derail the project before it starts
Step 03 of 06

Recommendation

Sonkify recommends the platform, hosting setup, and post-launch model that fit best.

Usually within a few working days of discovery

What you do

  • Review Sonkify's recommendation and push back on anything that doesn't fit
  • Confirm direction, or ask for an alternative

What Sonkify does

  • Names the platform — WordPress, Shopify, custom frontend, or migration
  • Recommends hosting and domain setup that match the chosen platform
  • Suggests a post-launch support tier (low, medium, or fully managed)
Step 04 of 06

Scope

The work is written up clearly so both sides know what is being built and what isn't.

1–3 working days

What you do

  • Read the scope carefully
  • Flag anything missing, anything that shouldn't be there, or anything unclear
  • Confirm and sign off before build begins

What Sonkify does

  • Writes the scope in plain English — page set, platform, deliverables, timeline
  • Names what's explicitly out of scope so there's no ambiguity later
  • Confirms pricing and payment terms
Step 05 of 06

Build and launch

Sonkify designs, builds, and launches the site.

Most projects: 2–6 weeks · depends on scope

What you do

  • Provide content and assets on the agreed schedule
  • Review milestone checkpoints — usually one mid-build and one pre-launch
  • Approve the site for launch

What Sonkify does

  • Designs and builds the site against the agreed scope
  • Sets up platform, domain, hosting, and forms
  • Runs a pre-launch QA pass — content, links, forms, responsive layout
  • Launches the site under your domain
Step 06 of 06

Handover, maintenance, or full management

The client chooses how involved Sonkify stays after go-live.

Decided during scope · in effect from launch day

What you do

  • Pick the post-launch tier that fits your team's capacity
  • Communicate ongoing requests through the agreed channel

What Sonkify does

  • Option A — hands over the site, access, and a short run-book
  • Option B — keeps the technical side maintained (updates, fixes, upkeep)
  • Option C — looks after both technical work and day-to-day site changes
02 · After launch

What happens after launch is your call.

Sonkify offers three levels of post-launch involvement — self-managed handover, ongoing maintenance, or fully managed. The choice is part of scope, not an afterthought.
